What's So Funny, Kivuli?

Ugh. I hate this, I hate this, I hate this...iI've been working with digital coloring for too long. i forgot how choppy colored pencils are. Or maybe I've just got crappy colored pencils?
This is supposed to be my character Netta Daniels, from my novel-in-progress Delja. Netta's grandparents immigrated to America from Kenya through Ellis Island when they were about nine/ten-ish. Her grandfather was given the last name Daniels, since no one could pronounce his real one then he met her grandmother and had her dad. Then her dad met her mom and the rest, as they say, is history.
Netta holds the ability to manipulate shadows and darkness, which is very frustrating when she wants to go to sleep her little brother Alan holds the opposite ability to hers-he can manipulate light. Netta is about 29-ish (I don't know if she actually looks it ) and Alan is about 27-ish.

My mom royally pissed me off while I was drawing this. She looks over my shoulder and says, "So it's a Native American, right? And that's Casper the Friendly Ghost!" No, Mother, it is not a Native American with Casper the Friendly Ghost Honestly, are my drawings that bad???? Eh, it explains why I don't get any comments, faves, or views... Imma go to my Reject Corner now...
